Myofascial Release Therapy has become a popular treatment in helping people dealing with cancer with relief from pain associated with conventional treatments. Near North Palliative Care Network. NNPCN is the Volunteer Visiting Hospice of Nipissing and East Parry Sound Districts, funded by the NE LHIN and HPCO Accredited. The organization provides Volunteer Palliative Care services to palliative clients, respite services to caregivers, and grief support services to the community. Grief support includes anticipatory grief to complex grief, individual or group sessions. All services are free of charge to the client. NNPCN Services are relevant in supporting people before, during and after the cancer process. We provide you and your loved ones the central psychosocial support needed during the process. We are the Visiting Hospice of our area and go where our client is. Our main goal is to enhance the quality of life and support our Clients and Volunteers unconditionally, and free og charge. Come chat with us about how to become involved with NNPCN as a Volunteer or Client. Know more about the Palliative Care and Grief services we provide to the whole community of Nipissing and East Parry Sound. We give 140 hours of online and face-to-face training, completely free of charge, to our Volunteers. We also provide ongoing psychosocial support and investment in the quality of life of our Volunteers and Clients, such as our Adult Day Program. NNPCN Adult Day Program offers 2 welness activities, completely free of charge, Monday to Friday, such as Gentle Yoga, Meditation, Origami, Music, Movie and Popcorn, and more. Training and Services provided by NNPCN are open to all community members.

Vicky is Queen’s University, the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, and Toronto’s renowned Institute of Traditional Medicine. A forever student, she is currently studying Contemplative End-of-Life Care at the Institute and hopes to soon offer end-of-life care services in the North. She interned with Kaleb Montgomery (Founder of Fertility Toronto) at the Toronto Institute for Reproductive Medicine (ReproMed) and spent three years doing clinical work at the Toronto People with Aids Foundation (PWA). She is grateful to have studied with international leaders in the fields of Chinese Medicine and Nutrition, such as Paul Pitchford (Healing with Whole Foods), Lorie Dechar (Alchemical Acupuncture for Spiritual Healing), and Lillian Bridges (Chinese Face Reading), to name but a few. Her recent return to the North was motivated primarily by a deep and unshakeable desire to live, work, and raise her babies in a natural setting—in a place where there are more trees than skyscrapers and where the stars are visible at night, every night. As a practitioner, Vicki has a special interest in treating anxiety and depression, insomnia and other sleep disorders, fertility, pregnancy and post-partum issues, hormonal and menstrual imbalances, allergies and asthma, digestive troubles, as well as the side effects of chemotherapy.
